Black + Green

 Happy New Year! The end of something is always the beginning of something else. New Year and new beginnings:-) Did you make any New Years Resolutions? I stopped doing them years ago because I never stick to them. I find that just purposefully setting goals works much better for me. I am excited abut this year and am looking forward to lots of new adventures. Today actually felt more like summer than winter. Totally unexpected 80 degree weather.  I am wearing a simple and conservative ensemble of black with some green accents and I am wearing sensible shoes <LOL>. I actually think my sensible shoes are kind of cute. Mary Janes are such a classic shoe, which is probably why I own them in a variety of colors and styles. I don't think every shoe has to be a 5 inch stiletto to be stylish. Do you agree?  So do you have anything exiting planned for 2012?

 

 I could not resist stopping to look at this beautiful piece of abstract art. I collect art and am always looking for beautiful pieces to add to my collection. I have always been a collector of music and books too and have a massive collection of books and music, but with new technology like Kindles and Ipods, it makes everything so different. Now people don't display their music collections because everything is on their Ipod and books seem to be going the way of the dinosaur.  I am still trying to get used to the idea of curling up with a kindle, but I much prefer curling up with a book and turning real pages. I guess I am old school huh? LOL
