Tigress

Hey loves! Happy everything! I have been having a great week. I started celebrating my birthday a couple of weeks ago and it has been fantastic spending time with the people that love me. This has truly been one of my best birthdays yet. Everything in my life is brand new and I LOVE IT!!!!!

Quite a few of you have emailed me to see a full post on the dress I wore to dinner this past weekend. I promise I will post photos of it and some of the looks I wore out to my various birthday celebrations. I have been celebrating my special day with friends and family, but I saved my official birthday for a special celebration with my son and my mom.
We went to a fabulous restaurant and had a great time and it was the cherry on top to the past two weeks of festive celebrations and the good times are far from over.

The ensemble I am wearing is a simple black on black outfit with a peplum top, fitted pants and a statement clutch and jewelry.  I wore this to dinner and it was perfect for an evening out.

black always works
I think the mixed metals I am wearing work so perfectly with the black and tiger print. What do you think?

Top: specialty boutique, pants: Michael Kors, Clutch, DIY, Shoes: BCBG, Necklace: LA Fashion District

I love animal print and tiger print bags is not something I see often, so when I saw this fabric, I knew I had to have a tiger clutch

I'm sort of obsessed with this chain necklace. I love the mixed metals.

Do you like clutch bags?
I hope the rest of your week is absolutely amazing!

Bumblebee

Happy Monday loves!  I know I sound like a broken record every time I apologize for my lack of posting due to my schedule, but life has been hectic, but in a good way. I had a great weekend. How was yours?  In just a couple of weeks I get to celebrate my birthday. YAY!With the hot weather lately, I have been wearing more summer looks. Today I am wearing goldenrod and black. This color combination reminds me of a bumblebee:-)

Goldenrod peplum top: JC Penney, Black Pants:Michael Kors, Clutch: Ebay, Shoes: Shoe Dazzle
I have been loving mint green on my nails lately
There is something very sassy about peplums that I like. Although the peplum has become a trend, a peplum is still a very classic look and never really goes out of style

Do you like yellow and black?

Have an amazing day!

Seeing Red...

Happy Monday loves!
This time of year red is everywhere, but I really love this color even when it's not Christmas season. A man once gave me a great compliment by saying that I should wear bright colors often and then he said: "Orange, Red, you own them, they were made for you girl" So how can I not wear it, LOL.

For those that are not aware of the  $150.00 JollyChic shopping spree giveaway, you really don't want to miss out on this. I promise it is worth it and I would not refer you to any site that I would not shop at myself. For the official rules to enter the giveaway click here. This is a really great giveaway so don't sleep on it.

The ensemble I am wearing is one of my favorite casual looks. Blazer, jeans and cute oxfords. When I run around town with my son or want to look put together, but unfussy, I favor this type of look because it is cute and comfortable. My red blazer is complemented with a subtle pattern mix of stripes and checkers and a snazzy pair of borrowed from the boys oxfords. Be sure to check out www.notdeadyetstyle.blogspot.com and GlossyBlonde to participate in a fun linkup:-)

Red Blazer: Metrostyle, Striped tank: H&M, Scarf: LA Fashion District, Clutch: DIY, Jeans: New York and Company (old), Oxfords: Urban Original

I just love a cute oxford. I have several pairs. Do you like oxfords?

I am big on comfort and these shoes are stylish and great for walking.

Everytime I wear these glasses, someone makes a joke about me looking like a sexy schoolteacher
What do you wear when you are running around town casually?
A little subtle pattern mixing with stripes and checkers. This H&M striped tank is so versatile and I find myself wearing it a lot. I wear my different pieces remixed into different looks and get a lot of wear out of my clothing this way.

Have a wonderful day! Be sure to enter the giveaway. There is nothing like the doorbell ringing with a package for you:-)

Green...

Happy Monday loves! this will be a short and sweet post:-) I have been super busy, but didn't want to get so busy that I did not say hello to  you and ask you about your weekend. Did you do something fun? or take some time to relax?  The title of this post is green, which at first glance might look like I titled my post the color that I am wearing, which is partially true, but the other reason is that when something is green it is growing and thriving.

I consider myself to be at a place in life where I am growing and thriving, so I am green. Growth is not always a fun thing and sometimes it is downright painful, but one thing I can say with certainty is that if you are not growing, you are stagnant or you are dying. I'd rather grow even if it is uncomfortable at times. How about you?

Peplum top: H&M, Jeans: System Boutique, Pumps: F-21, Necklace: F-21, Clutch: DIY, Earrings: Gifted by Mimi Boutique

I think F-21 has some of the cutest accessorizes and they are so economical. I love this colorful necklace.

I think my fondness for sweets is showing. The chimpmunk cheeks always let me know when I have been indulging too much, LOL

I have a love affair with peplums. They are so universally flattering and as far as I am  concerned, they are always fashionable even when they are not a trend. Do you like peplums?

Yet another clutch to add to my collection. Not so bad when you make it yourself, or have a crafty friend help you:-)

Have an amazing day!
