Sunburst

Hey loves! I am definitely enjoying summer and I just celebrated my birthday and it was pretty awesome:-) I just feel blessed to be able to celebrate another birthday and enjoy this lovely summer weather. Summer always makes me think about sunshine and this yellow blazer is like a big burst of sunshine. 

It is a very bold beautiful yellow, but looks different depending on what lighting I am in. I am a huge fan of stripes, so I paired them with this yellow blazer for a fun summer look. I recently organized my wardrobe and didn't realize how many striped tops I have, but I definitely wear them all. I don't like a lot of prints, but I have always been a fan of stripes, dots and leopard.

Summer and sunshine makes me smile, but I hate extreme heat. I think the perfect temperature is 75 or 80.

I love blazers and they are definitely a versatile piece to have in your wardrobe and you can dress them up or down. I have loved blazers ever since I was in high school

I love the retro look of this purse, but now I am about ready to retire it because I have had it so long and worn it so much that I am getting tired of it. Do you have items you wear so much that you don't want them anymore because you are tired of them?

Yellow Inspiration

Hey loves!  I was just thinking about the color yellow and how vibrant and eye catching it can be. Through the history of this blog I have worn yellow more than a few times. Yellow is such a happy color and what better color to brighten up your summer days:-)

Yellow pairs well with dark colors, neutrals and hints of other bold colors used sparingly like I have done with my shoes and jewelry

I think this just might be the perfect summer dessert. This Limoncello Tiramisu is full of bright citrus flavor. Don't worry about the alcohol content in the Limoncello Liqueur because when you cook with alcohol the alcoholic content cooks out of it and leaves only the great flavor. Sunshine

Hi Loves! It has been a month since my last blog post, but I really needed a vacation. These photos are from a couple of weeks ago, but I was just too busy to post them.  Looking forward to a fun summer with my son who is on summer vacation at the end of the week. The weather has been very strange lately. Dark, cloudy and overcast with no hint of the sun until well into the day. Yellow always makes me think of springtime and it is definitely one of my happy colors.

Skittles

I am enjoying these last days of summer so much. I had a great weekend with my little guy. We enjoyed some time at the beach and had a great time and I also got a chance to catch up with friends that I hadn't seen in a while. Quite a few of you have sent emails requesting to see more of my inspirational writing and recipes. You will see some great stuff coming up. The warm weather we have been having made me want to wear orange, which is among one of my favorite colors. I found this cute orange dress hiding in the back of my closet.

Most people know that I love bold colors. They just make me happy:-) These bold candy colored hues remind me of a pack of skittles. There is something I love about the color orange and yellow is my happy color. I decided to anchor these two bold colors with a  neutral blazer and a clutch that has a deep rich hue of purple and orange. Perfect summertime colors!

 You definitely do not blend into background wearing colors like this. What bold color combos do you like?

Sunshine

 Happy Monday loves! I hope your weekend was as wonderful as mine was:-) I went on a little getaway and I just felt completely refreshed when I came home. Last week I was feeling lethargic and devoid of any energy, but today I feel like the energizer bunny. I am wearing yellow which is a color that always makes me feel happy when I wear it.  Yellow always reminds me of sunny days and how much of a joy it is to bring warmth and light to others, rather than darkness.

Love Out Loud!

Love is an action word. What does it mean to love out loud?  The meaning might be a little different for everyone, but for me, to love out loud means to love boldly, freely and to give yourself away, to make deposits to others. 

Withdraw your love like savings and spend it like your love has a bottomless supply. When you spend love on others, your account will never be overdrawn because the more of it you give the more of it will manifest.

When you love out loud, you inspire others to do the same. Love is about giving without expecting anything in return.  Love is hearing every word when I didn't say a thing

I love the way these colors play off each other and I am wearing my cute little scarf from Dollar Tree. I have a similar one in Turquoise. When I see something I like, I get all the colors:-) Are you that way too?

I pass by this wall on a pretty regular basis and one day I stopped and looked at it. Love love love love love love love love love love love love love.  Just looking at it makes me think about the power of love.
