Yellow Inspiration

Hey loves!  I was just thinking about the color yellow and how vibrant and eye catching it can be. Through the history of this blog I have worn yellow more than a few times. Yellow is such a happy color and what better color to brighten up your summer days:-)

Here are some inspiration photos of all the different ways I have incorporated yellow into my wardrobe and be sure to check out the Limoncello Tiramisu recipe, which appeared in an earlier post and is included in this post since it is such a perfect summer recipe. I hope you have been enjoying your summer and the beautiful weather.

This post is from my birthday a few years back

Yellow and a little pattern mixing with zebra and stripes

Yellow pairs well with dark colors, neutrals and hints of other bold colors used sparingly like I have done with my shoes and jewelry

I think this just might be the perfect summer dessert. This Limoncello Tiramisu is full of bright citrus flavor. Don't worry about the alcohol content in the Limoncello Liqueur because when you cook with alcohol the alcoholic content cooks out of it and leaves only the great flavor. You can find the recipe here
and read about my hilarious experience of tasting Limoncello Liqueur for the first time.
Did you ever think yellow was such a versatile color?

Yellow and black always makes me think of bumblebees:-)

I hope my different interpretations of yellow encourage to experiment more with it in your wardrobe. The look above is a very recent look from this summer and I think the animal print pumps add a little pizazz to a very classic, yet stylish look.

Walking on Sunshine

Happy Friday! Sunny skies and warm breezes in my neck of the woods. This is definitely the season for bold bright colors.  I have been busy in the kitchen making some amazing bold bright foods too!  Expect some amazing recipes perfect for this time of year. Even for those that don't like to be in the kitchen, I have some super easy recipes for you too:-) I am a busy single mom, so I know what it is like to have a lot to do and very little time.  But even so, you still need to be eating well, right? Right!

What are your plans for the weekend? I have a couple of events to go to and am looking forward to one of my food adventures as I explore a new eatery this weekend. My social calendar is pretty full these days, but I am not complaining. Today I am wearing a white blazer and a light breezy tank with jeans and bold accessories. What I like about this look is that when I am busy running around with my son, I can swap my  pumps for a comfy pair of flats and no style is lost.

Walking on sunshine literally. Bold yellow pumps definitely add a ray of light:-)

Vibrant Thing...

Hi Beautiful Ones! I have been so busy and there are so many changes occurring in my life that I have not posted as regularly as I usually do, but. I expect my schedule to return back to normal in a couple of weeks. I have some really exciting things brewing that I will share soon. It is fall and there has been a mixed bag of weather. Rain and cool winter breezes one day and hot summer heat the next. It is actually raining off and on today with cumulus clouds, but since it is not cold rain, I wore something light. There is a slight chill in the air so it won't be long before I start wearing more coats and scarves. Today I am combining gray with a bright pop of yellow and fuchsia  I hope you are having  a fabulous week so far!

Fuchsia top: Burlington Coat Factory, Gray Slacks: Bergdorf Goodman, Yellow Pumps: Urban OG, Yellow purse: LA Fashion District, Earrings: Love Culture , Cuff: F-21
My son said to me, "Mommy the sun is sleeping today" How cute is that? LOL! The sun did make a brief appearance, just long enough for me to wear my shades for a brief moment:-)

Positive change requires a step in the right direction. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step...

Have an amazing week!

Yellow POP!

Hi sweeties! I really had fun putting this post together and I have lots and lots of photos that I hope you enjoy:-) I love bold color and adore these bright yellow pumps and plan to rock these until the heels fall off...LOL.  I am wearing a cute shrug that you might remember from this post and I thought the yellow was the perfect complimentary color for navy and denim.  I have my mother to thank for my amazing handbag. My mother has great taste and has my taste in handbags and accessories down to a science. Last year she surprised me with not one and not two, but several Junior Drake handbags. If you have never heard of Junior Drake you are missing out on a great designer.  I love up and coming designers, just as much as the well established brands many of us love.  These bags are made from rich buttery soft leather and amazing silky fabrics that are bursting with color! There  are so many great styles to choose from and if you live in California there is a store in Santa Monica. You can check out her amazing handbags on her website by clicking here.  Since my mother blessed me with so many of these amazing handbags, you will see me wearing them in some of my future posts.
